I have been reading the book, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and I couldn't help but relate to the words she wrote describing pregnancy. "She caressed the round bulge as though it were her child's skin she stroked, rather than her own." I rub my belly a lot and I find I am always touching my stomach in someway or another. I can totally relate to the idea that I am not touching my stomach but my child's skin, legs, head, and comforting the little one as it sleeps and grows.
"But then later, you feel the child move, and it's like a fish on you're line and then gone - like a quick tug, but so soon past you're not sure you felt it." I could not describe this feeling any better and I am always questioning whether that was a movement or not. Well this I can relate to and I very much feel like I have a little fish in my belly.
