Yesterday we started to can. I am not a canner (is that what "they" are called?) but I was the chopper and cutter for Jenn. Jenn has canned in the past but we both had never canned peaches or pickles before. I would say it was fairly easy just took some time.
In between canning, Jenn's Mom came home with blue oil based paint in her hair. Poor gal! Jenn worked her magic and used paint thinner to get all that blue out of her hair.
It's late and we are finally all done!
We got a little crazy mid-day with all this pickling!
In the end, we canned 7 large peach jars, 24 pickle jars, and 1 container full of dried nectarines!
